- Los Angeles Country Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) approves environmental impact report (EIR) for gondola to Dodger Stadium. The approval of the EIR for La ART by the Metro Board of Directors allows the project to move on to be considered by other agencies such as the City Council, Caltrans, and California Parks. With the approval came a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) and a list of items that must be satisfied before construction approval. Once it gets the next round of approvals, it will come back to the Metro board for construction approval. The EIR approval marked a historic vote as the first time the Metro board approved a design and environmental documents for an unsolicited, non-Metro project. See a related Weekly roundup here. - Ngong Ping 360 triples number of visitors and looks to increase capacity in Hong Kong. In 2023, the system saw 1.38 million visitors, and the attraction credits the increase in guests to their promotion work on social media. The system received high demand for its Crystal+ cabins, which have fully transparent walls and floors. Due to this demand, they plan to increase the number of Crystal+ cabins from 7 to 20 within the year.
