- New gondola to be constructed at LEGOLAND New York Resort. The unique gondola, Minifigure Skyflyer, will provide an interactive transportation method between the park’s themed lands with 10-person pods set to open this summer. There will be 7 unique Party Pods, each with their own theme, with interactive features such as sing-alongs or teaching guests how to speak an alien language. The stations will also be interactive with hand-powered cranks where guests can “charge” the cable car batteries.
- New chairlift under construction at Remarkable Ski Area in Montana. Concrete has begun being poured for the new 6 person-chairlift. The new Doppelmayr chairlift will increase the capacity of the existing lift by 900 passengers. The lift upgrades are estimated to cost about $23 million and will extend the current alignment down the mountain further to where the other lifts begin.
- The Sunrise Gondola Project in Utah is approved and has released their project timeline. The new system will replace the current Sunrise chairlift with a 10-passenger gondola. The gondola will be 6,500 feet long and will connect the Pendry Plaza to the mountain base. The project’s three phases have been released as well. Phase two, which consists of establishing the lift corridor, utility relocations, and other site layout and improvements, is set to begin later this year.
