- A cable car is planned to provide a connection to the Marseille-Marignane airport in France. After the feasibility study was completed, officials of the metropolis of Aix-Marseille voted to move the project forward. The system is estimated to cost 3 million euros and will move 3,600 daily users.
- Once completed, the Wild Blue gondola at Steamboat Resort in Colorado will be the longest and fastest monocable detachable gondola (MDG) in the United States. The first section of the gondola has opened and the second section is anticipated to open in late 2023 to early 2024. The 3.16-mile gondola runs at 7 meters per second.
- The first baby to ever travel on the Table Mountain Cableway returns for his 79th birthday. Not only was David Bester the first baby to ride the cable car, but he also lived on the mountain for 11 months.
- The Cannon Mountain aerial tramway in New Hampshire is close to retirement. The tram was installed in 1980, replacing the old 1938 system. The state has indicated the system only has a few years left until it needs to be replaced. Currently, public officials are working on various ways to fund the new system.
