- The first sea-to-mountain gondola on the Adriatic is expected to open in summer of 2023. The 3.9-kilometer monocable detachable gondola (MDG) will connect the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kotor with Lovćen National Park in 11 minutes. The system has the capacity to move 1,200 people per hour with 40 10-person cabins. It is anticipated 400,000 people will ride the gondola the first year. The project is a public-private partnership (PPP) between the Montenegro Government and local enterprise Novi Volvox. Novi Volvox will oversee construction and the operation and maintenance of the gondola.
- Arapahoe Basin Ski Area in Colorado is making significant progress on replacing the Lenawee Triple chairlift. The new chairlift is a detachable six pack from Leitner-Poma. Guests will not only have shorter wait times with the increased lift capacity, but will also have shorter trip times compared to the old fixed-grip triple chairlift. The new Lenawee chairlift is expected to be operational next winter.
- Snowbird, a Utah ski resort, opened its new tram last weekend. . Only the Blue Tram cabin is carrying passengers due to the damages to the Red Tram cabin which was dropped during installation and damaged beyond repair. - The Whitefish Mountain Resort is making progress on the new six-person chairlift installation. The new Chair 4, also known as the Snow Ghost Express lift line, will be replacing a small 1978 lift. Chair 4 will provide direct access to the upper terrain from the base lodge in 7 minutes. Currently foundations are being poured for the terminals and 25 towers. The chair is expected to open for the 2022-23 winter season.
