- Access to the Vang (Golden) Bridge in Vietnam is easier than ever with a new cable car system. The Sun World Ba Na Hills, an exotic theme park with lots of recreational amenities, unveiled these new high mountain facilities since reopening after the pandemic. There are plans to debut additional facilities, such as a mountain-climbing railway, cinemas, and a prize-winning game store, in the summer of 2022.
- Juneau’s city officials have approved $2 million to purchase a used Australian lift but are still figuring out how to pay for the installation of the system. A decision on whether to move forward with the project needs to be determined by April 11 or else the project will likely not move forward. A potential funding option is a 1% sales tax increase, which would need to be approved by the public.
- Whitewater Ski Resort in British Columbia has announced a new quad chairlift will be open by the 2023/24 winter season. The chairlift will run from the base area to the Silver King Ridge. The system will be a fixed-grip chairlift with the capacity to move 1600 people per hour. Construction will begin this summer with installation of the equipment in summer of 2023.
