- Cable car technicians are prepping Cableway C at the Xiaohaituo Mountain for the Beijing Winter Paralympics. Cableway C has the highest altitude (2198 meters) and the largest drop in the Yanquing competition area. There have been fifteen technicians working on the system since November to ensure safe operation of the cable car.
- The Flat Top Flyer quad lift at Powderhorn Mountain Resort in Colorado suffered computer issues pausing operation of the lift. Lift maintenance personnel at the resort and Leitner-Poma worked together to solve the issue. Staff was able to get the lift re-opened in a few hours.
- As development continues to grow in Bayonne and Staten Island, so does the congestion. Almost five years ago a feasibility study for an aerial gondola connecting both cities was published, but no action was taken. With the growth in these two eastern United States destinations, it is believed now might be the right time to pursue the aerial gondola to improve transportation woes.
