- Gondolas are being loaded to full capacity again at the Silver Queen Gondola at Aspen Mountain and Elk Camp Gondola at Snowmass. Previously guests could request private cabins if they were concerned about COVID. The new policy is to help alleviate wait times. Masking is still required in line and in the gondolas. Customers uncomfortable with the new rules are encouraged to use chairlifts to access the mountain.
- A Canadian on Bowen Island has applied for a Community Impact Grant to build a gondola from Snug Cove to Artisan Square. The man presented the proposal to the Bowen Island Community Foundation complete with a detailed budget and support from some major donors. The committee is still deliberating whether to award the grant.
- The San Diego Zoo aerial gondola experienced an automatic shutdown because four men rocked their cabin so hard it activated the safety measure. The shutdown lasted for about two hours, leaving more 100 people stranded until the ride was restarted. No injuries were reported. The men were arrested on felony vandalism charges.
