- The New York Times has published an article about how cities are rethinking transit in an effort to slow climate change. Several cities have started to electrify their mass transit. Trams, electric ferries, and gondolas are the transit options being presented in the article. The focus on cable cars looks into the TransMiCable system in Bogotá, Colombia.

- San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority (SFMTA) is looking for $625 million for cable car renovations. The system was closed during the pandemic, but shortly after reopening had to be stopped briefly due to electrical issues. The cable cars haven’t been completely renovated since the 1980s.
