- Mexico City inaugurated the first segment of the Cablebús aerial tramway. The 1.7 kilometer section of the Cablebús began operating on March 4. An additional section is still under construction, but once completed the public transit system is expected to serve 48,000 people daily. The cable car reduces an hour commute to 30 minutes. - Steamboat Resort reported unusually long lines due to needed COVID protocols on chair lifts and the gondola. For guest well-being, only those in the same household can ride together on the gondola and on chair lifts an empty seat is required between households. The resort is one of only two Colorado resorts not requiring reservations, which some guests blamed for the long lines. The resort attributed it to the recent snowfall attracting people to the mountain.
- Disney Skyliner leaves guests stuck for an hour. Guests on the themed gondolas were informed there were some technical difficulties which caused the delay. After about an hour, everyone was able to get off the cable car and board buses to their destinations. The Skyliner, part of the free transportation system at Walt Disney World Resort, is a visitor favorite.
- The new president of Simon Fraser University shared her reasons for supporting the Burnaby Mountain gondola. In addition to citing the benefits of public transit in general, President Joy Johnson also laid out the economic, environmental and safety benefits for the community.
