- It has been one challenging year for the Sea to Sky Gondola in Canada with the multiple shutdowns due to sabotage and COVID-19. Over a year ago, the haul rope was cut causing the system to halt operations. Shortly after re-opening in February, the gondola was forced to shut down again along with many businesses in Squamish due to COVID-19. Sea to Sky reopened in May with the majority of their employees returning to work with new protocols that provide visitors both a safe and enjoyable ride.
- The Singapore Cable Car has successfully attracted local customers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The tourism industry has been suffering, but luckily the cable car, along with other local attractions, have boosted their attendance by domestic customers. The Singapore Cable Car has attracted locals with events and promotions.
- The Shosenkyo Ropeway in Japan offers a 360-degree views of Mount Fuji and the Southern Japanese Alps. Visitors can reach the Panorama Dai (Panorama Platform) via the ropeway or by hiking 4-miles. At the top there is the Yakumo Shrine, which is known to bring good luck in marriage.
- Escaping to west Cork, Ireland? Don’t forget to ride the Dursey Island Cable Car. The 1969 cable car connects the mainland to the tip of Beara, traveling over the Dursey Sound. Often basking sharks are visible in the water.
