- A proposal has been submitted for a gondola in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah. The gondola is intended to ease traffic during the peak season, reducing hours on the road to a 30-minute lift ride. The gondola is estimated to move 4,000 to 5,000 people per hour with parking at the bottom station at the base of the canyon.
- Rome, Italy is moving forward with preliminary work on the EUR Magliana-Villa Bonelli cable car. The cable car is anticipated to improve connectivity between the airport and the EUR area. It’s expected to transport 2,200 passengers an hour. Rome’s urban plan of sustainable mobility includes a total of three cable cars.
- Hunan in China, also known as Xiang River Happy City, is opening two theme parks this weekend. Happy Snow Lake and Happy Water Town are opening for trial operation on July 11. The theme parks are an initiative to boost tourism and will have a cable car connecting the two Alpine towns.
