- A new cable car is part of South Korea’s plan to make Gyeongdo Island Asia’s number one marine and coastal tourism destination. The masterplan will include a cable car station, hotels, residential spaces, and other attractions.
- A temporary cable car system will be installed to complete the construction of the Msikaba cable-stayed bridge. The cableway will transport small amounts of materials and people, replacing the three-hour drive between the northern and southern sides of the bridge. The cable car system is anticipated to be completed this month.
- St. Louis remembers their streetcar network that was removed back in 1966. The public transportation on rails ran for 107 years and at one point included approximately 1,650 streetcars in and near the city. Evolution of new transit modes resulted in a decrease in streetcar ridership and the system’s ultimate demise.
