A quick look at some of the things that happened this week in the world of cable cars, urban gondolas and cable propelled transit:
- It appears that the Viennese cable car proposal to Kahlenberg is still under works. Proponents are still determining how the system will be financed and has yet to submit a formal application to the city. Based on current estimations, the cable car will be: 6km long, have a 20 minute ride time, average fare of 5-10 Euros and attract 600,000 visitors each year.
- Thinking about taking a trip to Zermatt with the kids? If you are, there’s a way to make the trip even more memorable. Cable car operators are now offering kids the chance to be act as a cabin attendant, or a “Gondola Boss”!
- City Time TV takes viewers on an introductory tour of what’s awaiting riders on the Singapore Cable Car.
