A quick look at some of the things that happened this week in the world of cable cars, urban gondolas, and cable propelled transit:

- The city of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada may soon embark on a study to examine the feasibility of connecting its river valley via a gondola or funicular.
- Mayorwatch from the UK reports that the Emirates Air Line spent £150,000 on several surveys conducted between July 2012 and March 2013. Earlier this month, Tfl released the results which revealed a customer satisfaction rating of 93/100. However, the agency has yet to publish the full report for public viewing.
- More news from the Emirates Air Line — despite cost overruns and continued criticisms from opponents, it is believed that the cable lift will be the only piece of infrastructure to cover all its capital costs ahead of projections.
- The Funivia del Renon (or Rittner Seilbahn) in Bolzano has won the ISR Architecture award for best bottom station. Given its slick design and integration into the city, its a certainly well-deserved recognition. Congrats!
