A quick look at some of the things that happened this week in the world of cable cars, urban gondolas, and cable propelled transit:
- Looks like we’re not so crazy, after all: The Guardian UK gives urban cable cars a rather ringing endorsement, highlighting several planned systems throughout France. The UK’s Transport Research Library, meanwhile, picks up on the story. The overwhelmingly positive article states that “France is to be the next country to jump on board with the idea of using cable cars as an everyday mode of transport.”
- The 2012 Brisbane Good Food & Wine show is coming and it seems that meals will be served within the Wheel of Brisbane Ferris Wheel’s cabins. Why are we bothering to mention this? Well take a look at the image above. Notice anything interesting about the cabins? Me too.
- TransportXtra continues the pile-on on the Emirates AirLine.
