- Congratulations to Medellin, Colombia (and San Francisco) for being this year’s winner of the 8th annual Sustainable Transport Awards – hosted by ITDP. Medellin has undergone a magical transformation (and that continues to this day) and is lauded for its ingenious transportation investments in not only the revolutionary Metrocable CPT system, but for its Metroplús BRT line and the EnCicla public bicycle system.
- Passengers are furious after the Ngong Ping 360, in Hong Kong malfunctions, leaving riders stranded for 2 hours. This is the 4th system failure in 2 months. Consequently, it will be closed for 10 days for inspections.
