Strange part is, when you look at the original Aerobus demoes, it looked almost exactly like this.

As I understand it, that was actually built. That’s not a drawing, it’s a photo.
It looks more like the Skiway contraption they built on Mt. Hood in Oregon in the early 1950s. That used two actual city buses, somewhat modified:
